"Mack Morris installed a new HVAC system in my rental unit(July, 25) and did an excellent job throughout the process, from estimate to installation. The unit has been working great since the installation. I had to recently call them to address a problem with the system and they promptly came to address the issue and provided the fix needed to correct the problem. They were very professional and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Robert was easy to work, followed through on his commitment to address the problem. The office staff was friendly and able to address my needs and set up the appts. I have been very pleased with the company and their employees and would recommend them for any of your HVAC needs."

"Reliable is the best way to describe Mack Morris. We’ve been using them now for over 8 years with a dual heat pump setup. About five years ago our upstairs died and within no time had a much more efficient and powerful unit installed. Ever since, we have kept a maintenance contract that gives us semi-annual maintenance for a very affordable price. The newest contract is even more convenient going from a one-time annual payment to automatic monthly installments but with an upgraded coverage plan on our equipment. I recommend it well worth your while to give them a call and check them out."

The only negative was 1/2 hour late and I ended up needing a part that had to be brought from C’ville and that took 1/2 hour. But both techs were friendly and explained what they were doing. I have signed up for a fall visit."

"The reason I have stayed with Mack Morris since I have been in my home is primarily Sean and his terrific service and reliability. Even when I am not home, I have no qualms about leaving Sean in my house alone. He is trustworthy and does a great job!! Sean has left the company but Chris seems very competent. It will probably take a little while until I feel as comfortable with him as I did with Shawn, but he seems to know his job very well and explains things clearly."

"Sue was the technician that answered our service call today. The problem was an easy fix and she spotted what had happened very quickly. That speaks well or her experience and trouble shooting skills but what impresses me most was how she treated my 91 year old mother-in-law with respect and assurance that her call was important and then take the time to give some good advise and also be considerate enough to chat a few minutes with an elderly lady that doesn’t have a lot people left to visit her. Sue is a true professional and treats each customer like they are the most important person on their service list. This is the type of service that is very rare but often shows up in the customer service from Mack Morris employees. We thank you!"

"Mack Morris is amazing. I thought it would be days before we would see any support for our AC unit. I filled out the contact form after hours and was contacted first thing the next day. Once on the daily schedule it was morning before Sue called to let me know the time of arrival. Sue was wonderful assessed the issue right away and fixed the problem in no time at all (lucky it was a common fix). Along the way Sue kept me informed of what was happening, way it happens and provided helpful tips to not only keep my unit working well but also to keep us all comfortable inside. I will not hesitate to reach out to Mack Morris again if I need support in the future."

"The service we received from Mack Morris was exceptional from start to finish! Our HVAC system broke down recently, so we reached out to 4 different companies for estimates. After comparing all the options, we were really impressed with Mack Morris and we're so happy we went with them. Crystal was our first point of contact and she did a fantastic job explaining everything from equipment details to costs, warranties, and the installation process. She even provided us with a portable air conditioner to use until our new system was installed - a real lifesaver in this heat! Alejandro then came for an on-site review to discuss the best installation practices and he was very accommodating to our needs and preferences. And lastly, the installation team, Fernando and Celso, did an outstanding job with the installation. A big thank you to the entire Mack Morris team!"

"Tom came out to give our AC unit it’s annual inspection. He was polite and articulate. He got started quickly and identified that past cleanings had not been complete because of installation errors. Nonetheless, he took corrective action that included opening a panel to allow for full access. I believe he cleaned parts that had been ignored for years. I fully recommend Tom without any qualifiers. We have already made an appointment with him to service our furnace in the fall. Kudos to Tom and kudos to Mack Morris for hiring him!! Dan and Diane McCallum. We had another problem with our AC. Quick service, and it was repaired quickly. We have recommended Mack Morris to our neighbors. Thanks again, Dan and Diane"

"Mac Morris came through for us when I killed our air handler trying to install a new thermostat. We were getting ready to leave town and Cindy was able to schedule us the same day even though they were extremely busy. Wesley showed up in about 3 hours and after I told him what I tried to do, he immediately knew what was wrong before he even looked at the system. He replaced a fuse on the air handler and then installed the new thermostat. He knew in advance why it didn't work when I installed it and changed one setting in the setup menu to get the system working. Wesley was efficient, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of my questions. It was the best experience I have had with any HVAC company. Steve"

Alejandro came out to survey the situation and concluded it would be a two day job due to the need to place a new set line from the heat pump to the air handler. "I had always used a large, local competitor of Mack Morris for my HVAC system service. When my AC system began leaking and I called the usual company for service, they gave me what seemed like a very high estimate for a repair that would not necessarily solve my problem and could even make it worse. I decided to call around for another estimate and second opinion. So glad I did. Mack Morris provided prompt, professional and exceptional customer service from everyone involved. They actually provided a better solution to my problem and did so at a very competitive price.They responded quickly to my initial inquiry and provided a 2nd opinion at no charge and with no obligation. The competitor had just tried to charge me $94 just for showing up to flip a switch that their own tech had neglected to turn back on after checking my system only a few days before, rendering the system inoperable. The Mack Morris crew was on time, courteous, efficient, respected my home and cleaned up when they were done. And, although I spent considerably more than the competitors original repair estimate, I got a new, more efficient AC unit and coil installed, with warranty and future service included, and piece of mind for years to come. Problem solved. Best of all they worked with me on the price for the job, and I feel like I got a very good deal on the best solution for my needs. The other guys, although they always did a good job, billed me like an attorney or neurosurgeon. I will be using and recommending Mack Morris for all my future HVAC service needs. "Chris (technician) was excellent at explaining the diagnosis and the reasons for it. Most helpful. Update: Scott & JT came out to replace the indoor coil. Quite a monumental task requiring almost complete disassembly of the Water Furnace geothermal unit. The AC was back up and running before they left, though I did need to call them back after a couple of hours as the cooling stopped again. I can't fault them for this as they did check the output air temperature before they left. Scott found a workaround to keep the AC unit running while they obtain a board that was responsible for the problem. Mack Morris kindly agreed to put the board in later at the parts cost only with no labor charge. I think the cost for the replacement of the indoor coil was reasonable, and while the board was an unexpected expense it may well have been part of the original problem so I appreciate the replacement with no labor charge. I have a high level of trust in Mack Morris and will continue to make them my go to HVAC team. Crystal and company at the office handled my calls efficiently and professionally, and reflect a company culture to instill confidence."

Cost 79$ for showing up and 285$ for component. The negative came when I got the invoice with components ID. A simpe google search showed the component prized at 16$. "I had been working with another company but wanted a second opinion and so I called Mack Morris. They said they had a crew in my area so the whole crew came to my house that same day. They assessed my HVAC situation, found some discrepancies and quickly fixed them on the spot. They took the time necessary to answer all of my questions about adding 1 - a humidifier and 2 -making a modification to reduce the noise level. But the best thing is that the price they quoted me for the humidifier was substantially less than the quote from my previous company. And the price for the modification was equally good. I can honestly say this is the best and most memorable service call I have had in my long life. A big thank you to the crew, to Mack Morris, and to Crystal the receptionist who took my phone call and adeptly got the crew to my house!"

"All encounters were a good customer experience except one. System restoration took 4 trips. When trying to diagnose on the first visit, the tech was poking around with a tester, then there was a flash at the circuit board. Since it may have been caused by ungrounded testing, once the system was functional again I asked if replacement of the board had definitely been necessary. They seemed offended, and said that the board would not have arced if it was good. But I read otherwise on sites that actually distribute those boards, which talk about risk of arc flash if the tech is not correctly grounded when testing. I went ahead and paid rather than keep arguing, but remain unconvinced the board wasn't accidentally damaged by the tech. Other than that, communication was excellent."

"Recently I called Mack Morris to come to the home for our lower two levels AC unit which was blowing warm air. This occurred in the middle of the hot string of 90+ degrees. I called on a Saturday morning and was amazed that they could respond in the half hour. The technician arrived at the prescribed time and was able to diagnose the issue quickly. He then repaired the issue which was wiring that somehow got disconnected in the downstairs unit. Within 10 minutes my unit was humming along pushing out that wonderful cool air. "I had Mack Morris in doe my semi-anuual service to get my HVAC Unit ready for the winter. Sierra was my technician. She was professional, efficient, and very kind. She could tell I was not feeling well and was recovering from a recent broken arm. When she was finished servicing my unit, she told me she had a while before her next appointment and offered to help me with anything. I have a large water bottle that I keep cold water in and keep with me. I couldn't get the lid off so she helped with that. She would have sone more ro help me if I needed it. I hope when they come back in the Sprinf( yes I renewed my contract) that they send Sierra."

"This is my second review and the dog still adores Mac Morris maintenance crew visits. Lots of attention to her as well as the first check of the new heat pump and furnace. This house built in 1958. Just installed the heat pump in time for this summer's insufferable heat. Keeping track of electrical and oil expenses. Cost of cooling the entire house from May to September is 2.3% LOWER than last year's cost for cooling just kitchen and bedroom. (It did cool down earlier in September.) Then the heating oil guy came out recently to fill up tank before winter heating season and NONE needed, it was still full. Last year I spent $348 on a fall oil top off. We are having a warmer than average fall, but the heat pump is all that I need to keep house comfortable. As part of the installation of new heating and AC system this maintenance call was included at no charge. But I got the full regular service . Very happy I made the investment to upgrade the heating and cooling system."

"We have a mini-split HVAC system which we purchased from Mack Morris about 12 years ago for our cinder block cabin on the Shenandoah River and have had a maintenance agreement ever since. Since we sometimes during the winter don’t come to the cabin for up to two weeks, and since we do use the cabin all winter, it is very important that the system keeps the cabin at 50 degree F during the freezes. We have been very happy with the maintenance that all of the different maintenance people have provided over the years. Today’s visit was no exception. Sue was very knowledgeable, personable, and careful. It was a pleasure meeting her and listening to her as she explained in detail the steps she took. Today’s visit by Noah continues the excellent service. He was knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. Vanessa reminded me about the appointment, and kept me updated when Noah had to extend his earlier appointment, causing him to be a little late. 5/9/2025 Sean and Crystal continue the excellent service with their very professional and personable teamwork. 11/05/2025. Carlton and Kimberly seemed especially thorough and diligent in their work—and they were enjoyable to talk with."
